Description:

Word Up is a two-player word game that offers engaging challenges for players. Engage in battles of vocabulary and strategy with friends and family.
Players must form words from a growing grid of letters to dominate areas and earn points. Showcase your linguistic skills and strategic prowess to triumph over your adversaries in this intellectually stimulating, turn-based contest.

The Rules

<ul>
<li>Controlling letters
 <ol>
 <li>During each turn, construct a word using the available letters on the board.</li>
 <li>The letters used transform to your designated color upon placement.</li>
 </ol>
</li>

<li>Earning points
 <ol>
 <li>Lock a letter by controlling all four adjacent sides to acquire a point.</li>
 <li>An adjacent letter cannot be locked if it is already controlled by your opponent.</li>
 </ol>
</li>

<li>Revealing the board
 <ol>
 <li>The board initiates with a 3x3 grid of letters and expands up to 9x9.</li>
 <li>New tiles are exposed upon playing a neighboring tile.</li>
 </ol>
</li>

<li>Ending the game
 <ol>
 <li>The game concludes when all letters are in use or when both players consecutively pass their turns.</li>
 <li>The victor is the player amassing the highest score.</li>
 </ol>
</li>
